About this cabin rental
This 4 bedroom, 3 full bathroom provides guests with privacy, but cozy cabin feel. Sheets, towels, and soaps are organic and made with clean materials.
Cedar hot tub. Tesla J1772 charger- compatible with all EV's. Tesla owners bring your adapter. New cabin build right on the west fork of the Little River in Mentone Alabama. Roux's Bends first story is an open floor plan with 10 ft windows spanning across the entire front of the home making it feel as though you are in a modern tree house. With top quality materials, clean design, and thoughtful details, Roux’s Bend is the perfect place to relax, adventure and discover the beautiful flora and fauna of the area.
The Main Floor:
The master bedroom has two 10x4ft windows plus access to the porch. Queen Beauty Rest bed with down topper. Private closet. The private bath was inspired by Mexican design with a large coverage of handmade tile, open rainwater shower, and stand alone soaker tub. Keep the master open to the living area, or pull the custom pocket doors closed for privacy.
Kitchen has soap stone counters, butcher block island, and high quality appliances.
Guest bath is tiled, with a soaker tub and washer/dryer closet.
The screened in porch can be enjoyed as is or transformed into an extension of the living room by opening the tri-fold doors. Wrap around front porch offers multiple views of the little river. We encourage you to fall asleep looking at the trees and stars, as there are no curtains. If you prefer darkness, please bring your own eye shades.
The Den at Roux's Bend (Basement Floor):
WARNING: SPIRAL STAIR CASE IS NOT LITTLE KID FRIENDLY. This might not be suitable for the little ones, however, baby gate is provided.
Take the spiral stair case down to the basement floor or enter through the exterior door from driveway. Desk and little library creates a nook to work, read, or write.
Three bedrooms, two Queen, one King, two have private closets. Shared tiled bathroom.
Stone stairs lead you to the dock that was built for lounging. The dock is angled perfectly for star gazing, reading, or waving to the boaters paddling by.
One available canoe to paddle up or down stream. Swimming is great right off the dock and especially fun to use the waterslide.
5 minute drive to Mentone, shops and restaurants.
7 minute drive to Desoto State Park / 14 min to Desoto Falls
So many options for hiking, climbing, paddling, and mt biking!
