About this house rental
This newly remodeled house has all the comforts of home. The spacious floorplan allows for elbow room while enjoying each other's company. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The kitchen and great room allow for gathering space. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washer and dryer in the laundry room. Coffee can be enjoyed in the nook at the front of the house or on the screened in porch. The 3 different decks offer beautiful views and rockers. The house is on Scenic Highway 1.8 miles from the vibrant village of Mentone and 1.3 miles from picturesque DeSoto Falls. Lots of outdoor activities including kayaking on the Little River and hiking in Desoto State Park and Little River Canyon National Recreation Area. Mentone has great restaurants and bistros and has a vibrant arts and crafts community and shops. Downtown Chattanooga is 45 minutes away.
Floor plan description: The house has 4 levels. From the front walkway, there are 2 short steps to the front deck entering on the main floor which includes the laundry room, den, kitchen, great room, a kingsized bedroom with a full bath that adjoins a twin bed bedroom. The screened in porch is off the main floor. From the main floor going down 5 steps with a hand rail is the downstairs suite with a full bath, king bed, and a bunk bed with twin mattresses. This bedroom goes out to a private lower deck with views of the brow. Once you return to the main floor, there are 8 steps with handrail to the upstairs suite with an additional loft. This upstairs suite includes a full bath and queen size bed, tree house play closet, a private balcony deck, and a loft with twin beds.

This is a wonderful place to stay! It was perfect for our family of six adults and five children. It is beautiful with so many special touches and it was so clean. The kitchen has everything! We had a wonderful time and are planning our next trip, hopefully in the spring.

Loved our stay in Mentone and the house was very comfortable and spacious. It had everything we needed with plenty of sitting and sleeping space. We took day trips and this location was perfect to leave and return to. More there than meets the eye.

Great time. House was perfect. So well appointed. Beautifully furnished. Very cozy quaint and roomy. We are 4 woman that have travelled together once a year . Love Mentone. Home so peaceful. Had everything we needed.

Plusses: Roomy (except only 5 dining chairs?), well stocked, comfortable beds, 2/3 view of sunset was very good.Take aways: Large 2 story cabin in front to the left partially blocked "brow" view and took away from viewing sunsets. NO large deck or porch with multiple chairs to sit out together. The DOORS are awful, ones to go outside and the inner doors were bad as well! Half of us had to eat in living room since only had 5 dining chairs at table. Owners live next door with 3-4 large dogs who barked at us from their deck or windows every time we stepped outside. Doubtful that we would stay here again (all adults felt this way!).
