Visitor’s tax in Zierow
From January 1 through December 31 of each year, a visitor’s tax is charged in the municipality of Zierow. This tax is remitted by the property owner to the municipality of Zierow. Please note that the visitor’s tax must be paid on-site upon key pickup for the booked period.

Zierow is now a state-recognized resort town! The “Ankerplatz” vacation home measures approximately 100 square meters and is located in the Baltic Sea resort village of Zierow. You’ll find a modern and comfortably furnished vacation home with an open-concept living/dining area, a fully equipped kitchen with all necessary appliances, a bathroom with a shower and bathtub, three separate bedrooms (1 with a 2x2-meter double bed, 1 with a 2x1.60-meter double bed, and 1 with a single bed). Amenities include a large flat-screen TV. A crib and high chair can be provided. Bed linens and towels will be ready for you upon arrival. The vacation home has a large terrace, partially covered by the house, and a separate terrace in the garden. Modern patio furniture and a parasol are provided. Parking spaces are available right next to the house. The vacation home is a non-smoking property. Smoking is permitted in the garden or on the terrace.

Shopping options are available approximately 4 km away in Gägelow or Hinter Wendorf. For small purchases, you’ll find the “Kraftquelle” right at the entrance to the vacation home area, or you can use the camping market on the campground. The campground features a swimming pool, a sauna, and numerous wellness and physical therapy services. Children’s activities are also offered in the summer. On the beach, there’s a beautiful new playground with plenty of play equipment and beach chair rentals. In the beach area, you’ll find two restaurants, a fish snack bar, a mini-golf course with a kiosk, a snack bar, and the Strandhauscaffe. There’s something for everyone here. Wi-Fi is available. Bicycles can be rented in Wismar.

The Zierow beach is a DLRG-certified beach that is particularly child-friendly due to its shallow waters. The Baltic Sea beach features a beautiful new playground with plenty of play equipment, a beach shower, and a wooden pier.
Right near your vacation rental, you’ll find two restaurants, a surf school (stand-up paddleboarding area), a mini-golf course with a small beach club, and the cozy Strandhauscafé.
The Hanseatic city of Wismar, an UNESCO World Heritage Site with a wide range of recreational activities, is just 5 kilometers away. The Baltic Sea resorts of Boltenhagen, Rerik, and the island of Poel are easily accessible by car.

Location
Zierow is located directly on the Baltic Sea in Wismar Bay. It’s about 4 km to the Hanseatic city of Wismar. It’s about 500 m from the university to the beach. You can reach us via the A 20 highway, taking the Wismar Mitte exit. Then take the highway access road toward Grevesmühlen and continue on the country road to Zierow. In Zierow, follow the main street and then drive into the new university area. At the Bernsteinring (roundabout), take either the right or left exit until you reach house number 32.
