About this apartment rental
3 Little Bears sits at 3,870 feet, which is about as high as you can stay in Gatlinburg. The views are mountain and valley from up here, and they get better in winter once the leaves are down.
Ober Gatlinburg is minutes away. In ski season you can be on the slopes and back in front of the fire inside half an hour, which is not something most Gatlinburg condos can offer.
Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping four. The main bedroom has a queen bed and its own bathroom; the second has two twin beds.
The living room has a wood-burning fireplace rather than gas, so it's a real fire. Bring your own wood for it. There's a full kitchen, wifi, air conditioning and a desk if you need to work for an hour.
The complex has an indoor pool that's open all year, and an outdoor pool in the warmer months. Parking is free on site.
Worth knowing before you book
- The road up is a mountain road, with the bends and grades that come with being this high. In winter that's part of the appeal, but check your tyres and allow extra time in bad weather.
- The pools belong to the complex rather than to this condo, so they're shared with other guests and they run on the complex's schedule.
There are exterior security cameras on the property, covering the outside areas only.

Nice play to stay for a small group. Had some nice extras like the pool robes! Loved all the bear stuff and it was very clean.

This condo development is undergoing some renovations so obviously a bit older but this property was the cleanest, most well apportioned VRBO at which we have ever stayed. The touches of what we would need during our stay was amazing, and our experience of exploring the Smokies was seamless and comfortable. The complex is situated on the top of a very winding mountain road but we honestly loved being away (but only 15 minutes) from the hustle and bustle of touristy Gatlinburg. The views on the drive made it more than palatable.We enjoyed the hot tub after hiking both days. We brought the most amazing Mexican food from Burro Loco the second night and enjoyed in the privacy of the place while doing laundry. (Make sure to have 2 for wash and 2 for dry in quarters!). The owners/managers do not ask much and provide wonderful little touches that make your vacation amazing.We highly recommend 3 Little Bears. What a pleasure!

Very nice interior space. Probably could use a few hundred more bear images !!! LOL. I'd like to know how that large bear statue was created, and the material.Saw no artist or company name. Only negative is of course the location. Everything else very fine

Pros & cons here. Condo is as beautiful as pictured, was extremely clean & kitchen was fully equipped for any type of meal you'd want to prepare! Appreciated welcoming water & snacks. Really enjoyed bonus of robes and slippers to wear during stay! Be aware you are going to the top of huge mountain. Road is VERY steep & VERY winding & FRIGHTENING to drive up & down!! Most of it is without guardrails and shoulders. After a couple days & finding optional route on Google maps, we kind of got used to it but still suggest always returning before dark. Balcony does not have view of Smokey Mountains. You see woods behind unit. If you walk around the complex you will see other units have gorgeous mountain views. During our 7 day stay construction was happening on nearby buildings. Our view included scaffolding, materials & debris, some blew onto balcony. During the day workers talked, hammered, used power tools, played music, etc. Not peaceful. Luckily just 2 workers, music not blaring & we were out most days. Beginning of stay seemed to be a family with an energetic child above us. Could hear talking, walking & running. Next appeared to be a single individual that moved furniture around & dropped heavy objects overhead at odd hours of night. Had some sleepless nights. Not peaceful. Bring earplugs. Loved Gatlinburg! Great people & activities! Once down mountain, close to everything. Park free at Visitor Center & use free Trolley to get around. If not, you pay for parking Downtown.
