In idyllic Nieblum, arguably the most famous village on Föhr, lies the Friesenhaus Arfsten with its apartments: Elena, Deichgraf, and Schimmelreiter. You’ll feel right at home here, and Nieblum has plenty more to offer besides various restaurants, cafés, and the surf school.
Our “Elena” apartment in the Arfsten House is located in the picturesque Frisian village of Nieblum, just a stone’s throw from the idyllic Nieblum duck pond, which, with its small playground and seating areas, invites you to linger. You enter the accommodation through a separate entrance and can immediately leave the stresses of everyday life behind. The lovingly furnished 80-square-meter home spans two floors and is bright and welcoming. The spacious living-dining room, equipped with Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a comfortable sofa set, and a dining area for four people, is both modern and charming. Across from it, you’ll find the separate, well-equipped kitchen with a ceramic-top stove, oven, and dishwasher—and of course, a coffee maker, toaster, and electric kettle are all provided. The additional counter with seating for two is a favorite spot for that first morning coffee, perhaps while the children are already playing in the living room. There is also a guest restroom on the first floor. A wide staircase leads to the upper floor, where you’ll find the shower room and a separate restroom. Both rooms have a sink, so the whole family can get ready for the day in no time. The light-filled master bedroom, with a double bed, large closet, and dresser, offers a quiet retreat for reading a book. The children’s bedroom, with two single beds and a closet, promises restful nights and also offers space to play. The thatched-roof house features a beautiful, well-maintained garden with shared patio furniture and play areas, where you can read a book or simply unwind and daydream. There are a total of three residential units in this house, and right outside the door is a parking space for you that belongs to the apartment. Nieblum is arguably one of the most beautiful villages on Föhr, and in addition to the island’s typical charm—with its Frisian-style houses, small shops, cafes, and restaurants—Nieblum also has a butcher, a bakery, a grocery store, and a gas station—as you can see, you’ll have everything you need right at your doorstep. Nieblum Beach is only about 1,200 meters away.
The Elena unit is an ideal home away from home for families looking to enjoy a wonderful vacation!
