Cleaning Expectations & Fee Transparency
In compliance with California law (AB 2202), we’re fully transparent about cleaning expectations and potential extra charges.
Guests are kindly asked to:
1. Take out the trash
2. Load and run the dishwasher
3. Leave towels in bathrooms or laundry baskets
4. Report any spills or damages right away
Extra fees may apply for:
- Excessive trash or mess left throughout property – $125–$300
- Unwashed dishes or cookware left out – $25–$45
- Extremely dirty or stained sheets/towels – $35–$75 per bedroom
- Bleaching required for linens/mattresses – $60–$120
- Carpet/furniture stains – $75–$175
- Biohazard cleanup (e.g., vomit, bodily fluids) – $150–$300
- Unapproved pet/service animal messes or excessive hair (see Additional Policies below)
- Strong lingering odors (smoke, etc.) – $600–$1200
- Outdoor areas left dirty (trash, cigarette butts, yard, etc.) – $75–$150
All charges are fully documented with cleaner invoices and photos.

No parking in front of neighboring homes
All vehicles must be registered

Additional Policies:
No parties/events – $650 fine + cancellation
Decorations: No wall hangings or decor without approval. Guests cover any damage
Quiet hours: 9 PM–8 AM
No smoking indoors – $550 fine
No pets (including service animals) – homeowner has severe allergies. $550 fine for pets / $300 extra cleaning fee for service animals (sanitation/deodorization)
No unregistered overnight guests ($25 per extra guest per night)
Packages only, no personal mail
Lost & Found: All shipping is at the traveler’s expense (minimum $25). We’re not liable for lost items, but our team will do our best to locate them after check-out
Minimum stay: 2 nights (no 1-night stays)

We're thrilled to host you at our unique Oak Park home! Please take a few minutes to review the important information below to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Cleaning Expectations & Fee Transparency
In accordance with California short-term rental law (AB 2202), we’re committed to transparency about cleaning responsibilities and potential fees.
Our standard cleaning fee covers:
- General tidying and sanitation
- Laundry of used towels and bedding
- Basic reset of the property
To avoid additional cleaning charges, we kindly ask that guests:
1. Take out all trash to the designated bins
2. Load and run the dishwasher (or hand wash dishes)
3. Leave used towels in the bathroom or laundry basket
4. Report any spills, damages, or maintenance issues immediately
Extra Cleaning Fees May Apply If:
Excessive trash or mess left throughout property – $125–$300
Unwashed dishes or cookware left out – $25–$45
Extremely dirty or stained sheets/towels – $35–$75 per bedroom

Guest Policy & Maximum Occupancy
Max occupancy: 7 overnight guests
No unregistered guests allowed overnight
- Day visitors are welcome with host approval only
Parties & Events Policy
Absolutely no parties or events
- Quiet hours: 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM
- Unauthorized parties will result in:
1. $650 venue fee
2. Immediate cancellation with no refund
Decorations: No wall hangings or decor without approval. Guests cover any damage.

Trash Policy
Trash day: Friday
- Please place trash in the bins on Thursday
- Our team will handle curb placement
- Overflowing trash after short stays may incur a $150 removal fee
Pet Policy
No pets allowed – homeowner has severe allergies
- Violations will result in a $550 fine. If you have a service animal, please contact us first before booking.
Respect the Neighborhood
No loud music or boomboxes
- Don’t allow noise to carry beyond the property
- Keep windows closed at night—sound travels!
Fire Policy
- No outdoor fires or campfires
Smoking Policy
- Strict no smoking anywhere on the property
- $550 fine for any violation
Thermostat Settings
- Thermostat range: 68–75°F
- Open windows/doors for fresh air—but close them when A/C or heat is running
Laundry Room
- Washer & dryer inside
- Available for guest use during your stay
No Mail Delivery
This is a vacation rental — no personal mail or packages should be sent here
Dishwasher Tips
- Please scrape food before placing items in the dishwasher
- Use the garbage disposal while rinsing
- Notify the host if any glass breaks inside
Improper use may cause clogs and result in repair charges
Check-In / Check-Out Policies
Early check-in and late check-out may be available if there are no guests before/after you
No late check-outs past 12:30 PM
- For guaranteed late checkout (e.g., red-eye flights), book an extra night
- Cleaners arrive promptly at 11 AM on checkout day
- Full checkout instructions will be sent the day before departure
Forgot Something?
- You have 48 hours to contact us to retrieve items
- All shipping is at the traveler’s expense (minimum $25). We’re not liable for lost items, but our team will do our best to locate them after check-out.
- After 48 hours, items will be donated
