Our 97 m² vacation apartment, “Abendrot,” spread over two levels, is located in Hohen Wieschendorf, just 800 m from the Baltic Sea and the beach. You’re welcome to bring a dog. Currently, the Hohen Wieschendorf area—with its beautiful natural beach and small marina—is still an insider’s tip for anyone seeking peace and quiet, yet still wanting access to a wide variety of restaurants, cafés, and shops when needed. The area offers ideal conditions for mudflat hiking, biking, and swimming. Hohen Wieschendorf is also a great destination for golf enthusiasts.
The Baltic Sea resort of Boltenhagen and the port city of Wismar are just a few kilometers away. You decide whether you’d rather spend a day soaking up the tourist atmosphere in Boltenhagen, enjoying the charm of the old Hanseatic city of Wismar, or simply relaxing right here on site.
Kids love the beautiful playground that’s part of the vacation apartment complex. In Wismar, the well-known Wonnemar water park attracts visitors with its many water slides, outdoor pools, and large wellness and sauna area.
Locally, you’ll find an Italian restaurant (open April–October) and a bistro in the former golf hotel.
Details about the vacation rental:
Our vacation rental has been freshly renovated and furnished and equipped with great attention to detail. We love that, on a clear day, you can see all the way to Wismar from the kitchen window.
When you enter the apartment and follow the hallway, you’ll arrive in the large, light-filled living and dining room (approx. 25 m²) with an adjoining balcony. The balcony is about 9 m² and has a glass roof. We put a lot of effort into furnishing it and hope you’ll like it, too. Here, you can use the stereo system to play either our CDs or your own music while relaxing in front of the fireplace.
Or you can use the large flat-screen TV and Blu-ray player to enjoy a wide variety of programs or DVDs in HD quality. The same applies to Bedroom I, which is also equipped with a TV and a stereo system.
There is a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The separate kitchen features a bright kitchenette with a dishwasher and ample counter space.
From the spacious hallway, a comfortable staircase with a stainless-steel railing leads to the two bedrooms. There you’ll find the main bathroom with a bathtub and double sink—there’s even a hotel-style hair dryer.
The two cozy bedrooms each have a double bed and plenty of space to neatly store all the clothes you’ve brought along. The second bedroom also has a crib for the little ones. If needed, a travel crib and a high chair are also available.
If you don’t feel like going out to eat, you can also prepare a hearty steak or a bratwurst on the electric grill on the balcony. Afterward, you can head to the spacious sauna (cost: 9 x 1.00 € for a 3-hour session) or wind down the day in peace with a delicious drink on the balcony while watching the sunset.

Pets are allowed for a fee (10.00 € per night).

Bedding and towels
Bedding and towels are not included in the standard amenities but can be rented upon request for a fee (€30.00 per person) on the day of arrival at the service office in Wismar. Pillows and comforters are provided.

Visitor’s tax in Hohen Wieschendorf: From April 1 through October 31 each year, the municipality charges a visitor’s tax. This tax is paid by the rental property owner to the municipality. Costs: Ages 16 and up: €1.00/day | Ages 6–16: €0.50/day
This is not included in the travel price and will be billed separately upon booking.
