About this apartment rental

Our Garden House was named after an American friend who stayed here for a few days and watched us work on it. It's like our city retreat, a magical place where you feel like you're away from the chaos of the city, with the birds waking you up in the morning, yet you're just a few hundred meters from Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio, the heart of Florence's Oltrarno neighborhood, and San Spirito, just a few meters from the city walls. Located on the first floor of an apartment building, it has an elevator. The house has a large living room, two bathrooms (one with a tub/shower and one with a shower), and three spacious bedrooms (two double beds and one with two single beds that can be joined). The kitchen is simple but functional (fridge, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, washing machine). Basic Wi-Fi is provided.
The furnishings are classic and vintage, featuring local and Italian artisanal pieces: we love finding unique finds at antique and vintage markets or from private individuals. The highlight of the house is undoubtedly the raised garden, a relaxing oasis after a day of sightseeing or city walks. We also have a garage with space for a medium-sized car. From here, Florence's city center is easily accessible on foot, and if you enjoy hillside walks, you'll be right at the foot of Bellosguardo and Viale dei Colli. The building is located on the edge of the Oltrarno neighborhood, described by Lonely Planet as "the coolest neighborhood in the world." It was once home to artisans, and you can still find them today. Right next door is a building called the Vecchio Conventino, which houses artisan workshops made available by the city, a very vintage bar, and hosts small concerts, screenings, and vintage markets. From here, the center of Florence is easily accessible on foot, and if you enjoy hillside walks, you'll be at the foot of Bellosguardo and Viale dei Colli. The street is quiet, but in the evenings, you'll find pubs, traditional restaurants, and places to enjoy an aperitivo (unless you're like us, and enjoy one in the garden). This is a home-away-from-home; if you're looking for an apartment that feels like a hotel, this isn't for you. We'll be there to welcome you in person. For arrivals after 8:00 PM, we need to make arrangements and see if this is possible.
