About this cabin rental
Perched on top of a mountain in a gated community, the cabin is worth the ascent for those who value privacy and being surrounded by nature. Built as an "eco-friendly tiny home," the main floor features an open layout with the kitchen flowing into the main living area with access to the spacious deck. The primary bedroom features a queen bed and a large panoramic window with mountain views. The second bedroom includes a twin over full bunkbed.
The loft has an additional queen bed and is accessible via a narrow staircase off the main area. Often called "witches' stairs" (a design by Thomas Jefferson that is apparently insurmountable to witches), these narrow stairs save space by alternating treads--small children or individuals with physical disabilities should exercise caution.
Considerate and careful guests will enjoy cozying up by the wood stove on cold evenings.
Most of the property's 43 acres extend down the mountain below the deck. While the roads to the house are maintained by the HOA, they are gravel and can be steep in some places. Most cars will have no problems, but lowered cars such as sports cars should avoid. The garage is used as owner's storage space for now and will be locked. The lower driveway and the rest of the space is free to use.
