House Rules – Coastal Cottonwood Retreat
Thank you for choosing Coastal Cottonwood Retreat for your stay! We want your visit to be relaxing, comfortable, and memorable. If for any reason your experience feels less than 5 stars, please contact us right away so we can address and resolve any issues promptly.
General House Rules
• No pets permitted
• No smoking or vaping in or around the property
• No parties or events
• Please be courteous of neighbors at all times
• Observe Walton County quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Maximum of 4 vehicles permitted
• Private driveway only; no trailers or boats allowed
• Please do not block neighbors' driveways or walkways
Respecting the Home
• Please do not eat or drink on couches or beds
• Do not hang wet towels or clothing on balconies or railings
• Use makeup towels for makeup removal; do not use white towels
• Only flush toilet paper down the toilets
• Keep doors and windows closed while the AC is running
• Do not set the thermostat below 64°F
Pool & Backyard Etiquette
• Please do not take glass out to the pool
• Be mindful of noise around the pool, especially in the evenings
• Supervise children at all times; pool is not fenced from backyard
• Please do not attempt to tamper with pool equipment; if there is an issue, contact us immediately
• Weekly pool service occurs on Thursdays, weather permitting. The vendor has access to the pool area, and the pool may not be accessible for about an hour after cleaning
Beach & Coastal Etiquette
• No glass containers on the beach
• Help protect dunes and wildlife — do not walk on dunes
• Fill in any holes dug before leaving the beach
• Remove all trash when leaving the beach
• Do not interfere with sea turtle nesting
• Use amber-filtered flashlights at night if needed
Trash
• Trash pick-up is every Monday and Thursday
• Please roll the trash cans out to the curb on Sunday and Wednesday evenings
• Pull the cans back behind the fence after pick-up
• Ensure trash is securely bagged and there are no obstructions in front of the cans, or the county will not pick up
Emergencies & Contact
• Call 911 immediately in case of emergency, then notify us as soon as possible
• For non-emergency needs, message us through your booking platform
• We strive to respond promptly; messages or calls after hours may be returned the following morning
