Welcome to Brig End, a cosy stone-built cottage in the peaceful hamlet of Langthwaite. Nestled right beside the Arkle Beck in Arkengarthdale, this charming retreat is full of character with exposed beams, stone walls and a welcoming wood-burning stove. It’s the perfect spot for couples, friends or small families looking to unwind in the Yorkshire Dales.
Step outside and you’ll find walks and cycle routes straight from the door, with the rugged beauty of Arkengarthdale all around you. After a day exploring, relax in the sitting room, cook up a hearty meal in the well-equipped kitchen, or enjoy the sound of the river from the small patio.
Upstairs there’s a comfortable king-size bedroom with calming views, plus a modern bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. Brig End blends traditional charm with modern comforts, including Wi-Fi, smart TV and electric heating, so you can feel at home while enjoying a proper countryside escape.
You’ll also have two great pubs within walking distance – the traditional Red Lion right next door, and the CB Inn a little further up the dale. Reeth, with its shops, cafés and Swaledale Museum, is just three miles away.
