Come and recharge your batteries in the hinterland of Montpellier.
Located near the Pic St Loup, about 20 kilometres north of Montpellier, between the Cévennes and the Mediterranean, this magnificent cottage in the middle of the scrubland awaits you.
Oak, pine, thyme, rosemary... You will be amazed;) here nature predominates. In summer, you will be lulled by the field of cicadas... and you will be able to admire, at nightfall, the thousands of stars visible from the terrace once the lights are turned off...

🌸This is a new AIR-CONDITIONED villa of about 100m2 including 3 pleasant bedrooms with comfortable queen size beds (160x200) and a large terrace of more than 60 m2 to enjoy good barbecues and aperitifs on the "garden furniture" 🍹🍹 area.
🌻Here everything is thought out so that you do not lack anything and all the equipment of the House is new: beautiful wooden pergola of 3.50x3.50, wood stove for long winter🔥 evenings (firewood is provided), table plancha, Weber 🍗 type barbecue, extendable outdoor table 8/10 pers, 2 deckchairs to relax, baby equipment on request (high chair, travel cot and comfort mattress, potty, carrier truck), board games, books, children's games ...
🌹You also have Netflix and all the channels of CANAL PLUS and many others!
🧼🧹A reinforced cleaning process is put in place in order to offer you a very clean accommodation.
Traveler access
Travelers have access to the entire villa as well as its magnificent garden of more than 2000 m2. A "petanque court" area is available in the garden.
Other remarks
Lauret is a small village of about 700 inhabitants, it has a grocery store open 7 days a week where you can find the essentials as well as a bar. The small town of St Mathieu de Tréviers 10 minutes away will offer you all the additional amenities (Intermarché, cellar, doctors, etc.). Valflaunès 5 minutes away offers a beautiful market on Sunday mornings. The market of Sommières on Saturday mornings at half an hour is worth the detour.
Very beautiful walks are accessible on foot from the cottage (Moulin de Lafous, Mas Neuf, archaeological site of the Rocher du Causse with a view of the entire Gard plain and beyond the Pre-Alps, Mont Lozère, Aigoual).
If you take the car you can discover magnificent sites of which here is a non-exhaustive list:
- Tour the vineyards of Pic St Loup (map available) and taste the local wines.
- 10 minutes away: the ascent of the Pic Saint-Loup which is in my opinion one of the most beautiful natural hiking sites in the region. From the summit, the view extends 360° over the entire plain and the coastline... Quite impressive the first time!
The hikes to the castle of Montferrand or the ridges of the Hortus.
- 10 min: the lake of Claret, magnificent wild site to enjoy a little swim.
- 10 min: lake of Cécélès in St Mathieu de Tréviers, magnificent lake with turquoise water where you can enjoy a good swim and you can eat or drink a delicious cocktail with a view of the lake at the "Guinguette des amoureux".
- An only half an hour: several swimming spots in the river in the famous Gorges de l'Hérault with the departure of canoes (activity accessible for children) or visit of the majestic Grotte des Demoiselles.
Visit of St Guilhem le Désert classified as "one of the most beautiful villages in France" and the Pont du Diable (about 40 min).
- the water park of the Plein Air des Chênes in Clapiers (20 min), Domaine du Roc de Massereau (zip line, via ferrata XL, river: 30 min);
- And in the surrounding area: the beautiful town of Sauve (20 min), Montpellier (30 min), the Pont du Gard site (1 hour), the beaches of Palavas and Carnon (40 min), the wild beach of Aresquiers in Frontignan (50 min), the city of Nimes (45 min), Arles (1 hour).
The arrival kit contains: a dish towel, a bath mat, 1 dishwasher tablet, a roll of toilet paper, soap.
Linen is not included. It can be offered as a breakdown service on a paid option, only sheets (contact the host).
Cleaning is an option ranging from €30 to €50, depending on the length of stay and the number of travellers.
