Great location. Extremely clean. Had everything we needed for our short stay.

Very clean and modern. Comfy beds. Downstairs shower room has good shower, very easy to operate. Well equipped with quality fixtures, etc. View of cathedral from both bedrooms. Good to have toilets on both floors.

Never stayed at another cottage where we were not given the keys to all doors, so, although it had a back door and 2 sets of patio doors, we couldn't use any of them. Not sure of the H & S aspect as we only had one way out. This also meant that unloading the car was awkward, as the parking spaces were only at the rear of property and the back access gate was also locked with no key available. So we had to lug all our belongings all the way around to the front and up the steps. From photos we had thought that we would be able to unlock front door, then open back door & gate too, therefore access easily with our luggage. This might not be a problem for most, but we were embarking on a 3 week tour so we had quite a bit of luggage. This also meant that there was no way to access the back garden, or eat al fresco or sit outside & enjoy a glass of wine. The other things that seemed a bit strange (as very seasoned holiday cottage dwellers) was the lack of visitor information in the cottage - there were no instructions for recycling, or when bins needed putting out, there were no details about nearest surgeries, pharmacies, hospitals, etc. There were no recommendations for eateries or instructions for any of the appliances. There was also no guest book for us to record our comments. There was no fire blanket or extinguisher in the kitchen and no sign of any PAT testing stickers. Although it is described as a QUIET HOUSE, Yes, the area is lovely and quiet, but the adjoining neighbours have the TV on loud until 2.30am, so we had to swap bedrooms for the 2nd night. At every cottage we have ever stayed at we always had unopened Milk in the fridge, but on our arrival it was a half used container. We were also not used to sharing the shower with some one else's shower puff. Usually if the owner uses the property, all their stuff is hidden away.

Mariam was very helpful and quick responding to my questions. Everything was ready and the house and facilities were beyond expectations. Brilliant value for money.
