Beachfront Apartments

Location is exceptional right on the prom and above Shells cafe, apartment was secure, cosy, well equipped, host Stephen is lovely and very communicative.

Firstly, we stayed in the middle of a heatwave, so my view of the area may have been different if it had been a cold, wet and windy stay 🤷‍♀️. The owner met us on arrival and showed us around, and how to work the appliances, and then left us to it, without interference. The apartment is in an excellent prime position overlooking the sea. Even though it is in the middle of a bustling tourist area, it was so peaceful sitting watching the world go by and enjoying amazing sunsets. It was actually lovely not having a TV, it was great getting away from the habit of sitting down and switching it on. There are plenty of books and games if you want to avail of them. We just connected via Bluetooth to the sound system and relaxed. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment and we used the back bedroom for sleeping in because it had a bigger bed than the front bedroom, which we used as a dressing room. The bed we slept in was very comfortable. I cannot comment on the cooking facilities because I was on holiday and was not there to cook !! We did get a lovely takeaway pizza from The Strand Bar which was a proper pizza, not a heated up frozen pizza.

There was a bit of noise from the cafe kitchen at the back of the apartment, but that's to be expected. I'm actually surprised that there wasn't more noise. The only thing that I can think of that is lacking in the apartment is a dressing table in at least one of the bedrooms.

The apartment has absolutely everything mentioned, from a fully equipped kitchen to brilliant ocean and surf views right on the beachfront. The owner, Stephen, was an absolute gentleman and an incredibly welcoming host. It is the perfect base for exploring Sligo, and we had a fantastic experience!

There was genuinely nothing to dislike—everything about our experience was completely perfect!

The location is amazing and the apartment had a lovely clean feel, like the sea itself was coming into the space. Lovely, would stay again
