雪中梅花 -Setchu Baika-

This property was in an excellent location in the heart of bustling Sakae, close to the train station. Close to shops, restaurants and plenty of karaoke bars. It was very spacious and beautifully appointed on floor 2 with clean, modern (almost Scandi) furniture and decor, while Floor 3 was older style but simple. It was large enough to accommodate our two families who were travelling together. The kitchen was fully-equipped and we enjoyed being able to sit around the table at breakfast time. The communication with guest services was good. They provided a good electronic guide to using the various facilities and features available but we needed more information on how to use the washer/dryer, even with a native Japanese family member.

The noise from the street was very loud and we would recommend upgrading to double glazed windows, as well as adding some blinds or drapes to the windows to cut out early morning light. There is no lift and the stairs were quite narrow. We left our luggage on Floor 2 and carted what we needed up to Floor 3. We would stay here again, if the noise and light reduction were attended to.
