Everything was perfect

The contact details on booking.com were not correct, we were sent another name and phone number. This was confusing and inconvenient. Also I never received the access details email. It would have been better if the access details were available on booking.com.

Absolutely charming cottage. From the outside it feels like you're about to walk into a slice of history. And on the inside it is surprisingly spacious and well thought through layout. Feels like the Tardis! 3 good sized bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom with a separate door to own private little patio in the garden. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Beautiful bedside cabinets in the en-suite. A living room that is both surprisingly spacious and cosy all at the same time, with 3 large sofas and a fire place. Its position slightly set back from road means there is privacy. There are lots of gorgeous finishing touches too. Games, books, a basket with pet blankets/throws and dog toys. The main bathroom is well appointed also includes a heated towel rail. The kitchen/diner is just marvelous, well appointed with everything that you could need for self catering and more. It even has a little airfryer which my daughter loved using to make herself chips. There is a larder/pantry that has all the (pretty) crockery and glassware you could need. On the other side of the kitchen counter there is the dining area with large table and chairs all well lit by natural light with bifolding doors to another patio area and the garden. My daughter loved to sit here and paint in the natural light. The garden is idyllic with a burbling brook at the bottom. Our little dog absolutely loved the secure garden. Although there is no parking at the property you can park the car at the local pub car park which is only 300m away. The friendly, approachable owners of the pub look after the property and it's guests exceptionally well allowing privacy but on hand and close by if needed. And on the note of the pub "The Ibberton" close by, it is a MUST that you visit. A gorgeous huge fireplace with sofas surrounding. And a menu to die for. The wild garlic soup was out of this world.

Reduced water pressure in the kitchen. There was an issue with the hot water boiler also - but this was not a big deal for us as hot showering was possible in the main bathroom due to the electric shower. And this issue was fairly quickly resolved too. Fireplace currently not in use due to new building regulations but this will be resolved according to the owners as it is a very new property to the holiday home market with some teething problems. Not an issue really as good modern storage heating throughout the property. We just loved it there so much, felt more at home and peace than ever so these things were not a major issue for us.
