Perfect for a one week stay in Dorset with lots to do and for Ironman weekend in Weymouth. Loved Lulworth Cove and Durdl

Very clean, spacious, well equipped and homely. Games room was excellent. A super comfortable place for families, with or without a dog. Loved fire and fenced private garden area. Dorset is fabulous with so much to do. Outstanding Sunday Carvery £16 at Royal Oak pub but book ahead (01258 837248) and nice Indian from Simla Tandoori in Blandford Forum. Lots of takeaways from BF and Tesco’s. Hedge End is 30 mins or less from everywhere. Milton Abbas worth a visit nearby. Lawrence of Arabia memorials in easy reach, Corfe Castle and Poole and Bournemouth very nice. Really nice food from Hamish’s Cafe and Farm shop near Yeovil on the way home

Dorset family trip

Great location. Lovely setting. Peaceful and relaxing. Good size living room with comfortable furniture. Three good sized bedrooms. Comfortable beds and good storage. Two easily accessible bathrooms. Very clean and well appointed. We had a great week.

It was perfect, clean and comfortable.

The only down side was that due to the excessively hot weekend we chose to visit a bit of air conditioning would have been of great benefit, or at least some fans either ceiling or portable for the bedrooms.

In a beautiful setting, lovely accommodation, not so easy to find but that could have been us. ! Everything provided. Very good information booklet. Loved the games room right next door.

The slate parking area was very uncomfortable to walk on, for both us and the dogs. Our shower in the main bedroom had a very slippery floor. Also no chairs in the main bedroom.

Nice cottage in quite countryside

Very nice cottage, very clean and well cared for, well stocked with towels/crockery , small garden with bench seat, ample off road parking and games room for kids & adults

Great place to stay

Very easy to find. Readily able to park outside property, which was very clean & welcoming. The weather wasn't great for much of our break but it didn't matter as we were warm & cozy inside rediscovering our love of jigsaws! Lots of space, airy & bright this was a great place to stay. The biscuits & milk left for us to be able to brew up as soon we got there was much appreciated too. The basket of logs was also very welcome & made our first evening a lovely memorable one sat drinking tea, eating biscuits in front of a lovely fire. We look forward to returning soon with our Newfoundland 🥰

Plenty of space for a family stay.

Large open plan living area and kitchen. Clean, tidy and functional layout. Plenty of space in the bedrooms. Good wifi signal, just be aware its open not pw protected.

Not a negative, just a suggested improvement. Could do with a couple of table lamps and soft furnishings to make it more homely.

Fantastic week spent at The Old Cart Shed.

Excellent accommodation. The barn was comfortable and welcoming. Well located to explore Dorset and Somerset.

Set in a very rural location, therefore, car definitely needed during winter months as not possible to walk to the local pub in the dark.

Absolute gem

This place is finished to a very good specification and was immaculately clean on arrival. Lovely complex and well maintained. The pictures genuinely do not do it justice, it was much bigger inside than we had expected and the bedrooms are an excellent size with comfortable beds. The wood burner with a supply of logs and firelighters was very welcome in December. Having a car is essential when staying here due to the remote location. I would also suggest you need to be a fairly confident driver to cope with the narrow roads in the immediate area. All in all highly recommended.

Excellent cottage for families and dogs. We’ll definitely come again.

Excellent holiday location, especially if you have kids and dogs! The cottage was clean, spacious and so many things were considered from milk and biscuits to dog chews and dog bowls. The play barn was a big hit with the kids and the local pub did good food.

Fantastisch verblijf, helemaal top !! Was een leuke accommodatie, heel ruim, van alle gemakken voorzien. Het was schoon. Voor de kinderen een leuke speelruimte. Locatie was rustig en prachtig gelegen.

Geweldig huisje en een geweldige locatie.

Het is een prachtige locatie op een goede uitvalbasis om vanuit daar naar verschillende plekken langs the Jurassic Coast te gaan. Het was heel ruim opgezet en ook al lijkt het op de foto's wat kaal en kil, het was erg gezellig en alle faciliteiten in het huisje waren van een goede standaard.

Het enige is dat er helemaal niemand is om je welkom te heten. Alles gaat via app wat ik wel echt heel hinderlijk vond en het voelt daardoor erg formeel en is er weinig flexibiliteit. Als voorbeeld toen we weggingen na er 4 dagen te hebben verbleven was de beheerder wel op het parkje, maar kwam niet even gedag zeggen. Toen ik via app vertelde dat we gingen en dat we het heel lekker gehad hadden kreeg ik geen reactie. Tot op heden nog geen reactie gehad. Dat vond ik jammer. Zeker omdat je bij zo'n idyllisch plekje wel iets van persoonlijk contact verwacht.
