What an amazing vision some clever architects came up with to turn these places into massive apartments - this one a two-bedroom unit with two bathrooms - very nice sizes and fittings that one can feel comfortable stepping into, although you can wait quite a while for the hot water to reach the bathroom and clever mastery of the mixer is needed so you don't attacked by two extremes of temperature. Floors are all polished cement, which allows for cleanliness, particularly in a unit where there are many different people staying. The living area - open plan fully fitted kitchen, lounge area and balcony are of a size you won't find many of in this part of town. The living area can be extended by opening the second bedroom or those voyeurs may have fun watching the sleep in this bedroom. Both beds have phenomenal electric blankets which heat you up very nicely - one of the only downers being a huge area being difficult to keep warm in the coldest of winter - the blanket helps to warm the cockles of one's heart. You have not lived if you haven't spent some time in this unit. Bongani the host is one of the nicest people I have ever met and he may just have a return visit just for his humanity and hospitality!

Not that it was a negative finding because it was expected but the noise levels in the building are more mysterious than the noise on the street below indicating great connections being made and friends reuniting. Let' s be honest this is an old building that has been renovated in a phenomenally Maboneng way and the pipes are old and the lift is the original, apart from having digital floor indicators - the working fully visible. Not a negative but some might find the funny noises slightly less enthralling.
