I randomly found this hotel while searching online. Compared to other hotels available on the same booking date, the price was much cheaper. The photos uploaded by the hotel and previous guests looked very clean, but honestly, I was not expecting the rooms to be exactly the same in real life.
After booking, I had one of the best experiences. The staff on the day shift welcomed us warmly, showed us the room, and I was genuinely surprised to see that everything looked exactly like the pictures online clean, neat, and well maintained.
We were a family of 4 including kids, and the room size was comfortable enough for all of us. The bed sheets and room were very clean. The washroom was spacious and exactly as shown on the website.
Some things I really liked during the stay:
• 24 hour hot water facility, while many nearby hotels only provide hot water till 9 AM.
• Smart TV with WiFi.
• All the staff were friendly, polite, and supportive throughout our stay.
• Continuous power supply with generator and UPS backup.
• All rooms are AC rooms. Other nearby hotels charged separately for AC rooms, but here I got an AC room within my budget, which was very comfortable during summer.
• Complimentary toiletry kit including toothbrushes for all guests, soap, shampoo, and sunscreen.
• Direct beach access since the hotel is right in front of the beach.
• Temple is at walkable distance.
Honestly, this felt like a luxury stay at a budget friendly price compared to other nearby hotels.
I usually do not write reviews, but I felt this hotel truly deserved one. I accidentally forgot my favourite charger during checkout, and while I was at the railway station, the hotel staff called and informed me about it. They promised to courier it back, and the very next day I received the shipment tracking message. I really appreciated their honesty and customer care even during their busy schedules.
I am really thankful to the hotel manager Mr. Praveen for taking the initiative to send it back even with his busy schedule, and also thanks to the owner for approving and supporting this gesture. This kind of honesty and customer care is rare nowadays.
Unlike some nearby hotels that asked extra charges for kids or AC rooms, my check-in here was smooth without any hidden issues at The Ocean Inn Luxury Stay.
One small suggestion to the hotel management: Since you are already providing complimentary water bottles, adding an Aquaguard drinking water facility could help reduce plastic waste.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay with clean rooms, supportive staff, and excellent service. I would happily rate this hotel 10/10 and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Murdeshwar.
