The location is perfect for exploring the region, with easy access to all the main attractions, wineries, and beautiful towns. What truly makes this place exceptional, though, is the hospitality of Laura and Matteo. They made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived, and their kindness extended to our dog, Seth, who was delighted to find bowls and a welcome treat waiting for him in the room. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made us all feel at home. The farmhouse has been lovingly restored, combining modern comforts with beautiful historic furniture and authentic character. Every detail has been carefully considered, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. Breakfast was outstanding, featuring delicious local products, and Matteo's homemade desserts were simply exceptional, the perfect start to every day. Laura was always available with great recommendations for wineries, restaurants, and anything else we needed, making our stay even more enjoyable. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Laura and Matteo have created something truly special, and their family-run farmhouse has definitely earned a place among our favorite stays. We will be back!

10/10 If you are looking for an authentic Italian stay in the Barolo region, you can stop searching. This is it. Just five minutes from the centre of Monforte d'Alba, this carefully restored country home is surrounded by vineyards and offers complete peace and tranquillity. The house has been renovated with great taste, preserving its original character while offering modern comfort. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and clean, with an excellent bed, modern bathroom, great air conditioning, and thoughtful touches such as a selection of coffee, tea and a refrigerator. The breakfast room, with its large windows overlooking the vineyards, is simply beautiful. What truly makes this place exceptional are the hosts. Laura, a former sommelier, combines genuine warmth with outstanding local knowledge and incredible attention to detail. Matteo is a passionate chef whose homemade breakfasts are unforgettable: fresh fruit juices, homemade gluten-free rice bread, exceptional pastries, scrambled eggs with truffle, homemade jams, local cheeses and produce from their garden and nearby producers. It was the thoughtful personal touches that made our stay unforgettable. For my wife's birthday, the hosts surprised her with a homemade hazelnut cake and flowers from the garden. After I mentioned how much I enjoyed the fresh pear juice, Laura placed a bottle in our room's refrigerator that same afternoon. We also casually mentioned wanting to try an authentic local restaurant, and without us asking, Laura arranged a reservation at the restaurant where Matteo cooks. This level of hospitality, personalisation and genuine care is exceptional. This is still a hidden gem, but probably not for long. I would not be surprised to see it featured in Condé Nast one day. If you are visiting the Langhe and Barolo region, don't spend hours comparing properties. Stay here while you still can.
