Beautiful Home in Heart of Truro

Well provisioned cottage walking distance to Truro city centre and Truro train station. Very good base in Truro if no car. However see comments below if car parking is required.

Tricky access to parking even for a small car. Access was also totally blocked by local cars on 2 occasions. To offset this the agents kindly organised a parking permit for Stratton Terrace itself. Other residents of Stratton Terrace have clients/tradesmen who sometimes block the access and must be tracked down by door knocking to ask them to move to allow access. When tracked down the residents of Stratton Tce were helpful in moving their vehicles. Also the towels provided were plentiful but a bit flimsy and although clean were still damp on our arrival.

It had most things you would need or use in a home ,space was okay for our little family.

We got stuck a few times trying to drive out as people parked on the tiny road that comes from the house onto the main road.House could have been cleaner as well. The linen could do with some attention too.Instructions for the key safe should be made clearer as well for easier access.

Perfect location- quiet yet central, perfect for meandering into Truro for dinner, shopping etc

I loved everything but it was a shame that the outside space didn’t have a table and chairs. We had great weather and would have loved to have used the space. It was also in need of a good scrub outside (inside immaculate) - I have fed this back to the owners and they are bound to sort it out, as you can tell how loved the property is. We highly recommend staying here.

Bright and airy accommodation. Very comfortable upstairs bedroom. Excellent bath and shower facilities. Good quality kitchen and lounge area. The majority of the fixtures and fittings are high end quality. Easy access on foot to the city centre and railway station.

The access and parking arrangements are challenging at best. Anyone with a larger car would struggle. It would be unsuitable for parties with more than one car. The external areas need some TLC, especially the deck and part covered seating area off the lounge. The decking area could be a lovely, private space but needs a thorough scrub down and clean. Limited storage and hanging space in the bedrooms. Some internal areas need refreshing - a lick of paint and maybe some artwork to make it feel more homely and reflect the high spec’ fixtures and fittings.
