Ventas 1 Charming and peaceful apartment

The apartment is actually a bit better than what you see in the photos, which is great for a change. Upon arrival, Daniel, the host was very helpful over the phone giving us instructions on how work the codes. The weather in Madrid was quite hot, since the apartment has no AC, we asked if he could provide a fan. To our surprise, even though we called at around 8pm at night, a couple of hours later a lady showed up to bring us the fan. That made our day. The apartment is small, but cozy, and it has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Microwave, coffee maker, cooktop, fridge and all the necessary utensils. We found salt, sugar and coffee, which was great. There were enough towels, and linens, of good quality and quite new. Everything very clean. The apartment is literally two minutes away from a bus stop that connects to the Metro and other public transportation, and a metro station 10 minutes away walking. It generally took 20 to 30 minutes to get to the tourist attractions once you were on the bus or the metro. There are reasonably good restaurants a few blocks away, as well as a few convenience markets and such. All in all, a good place to stay at a reasonable price considering the prices in Madrid.

We missed having a closet or similar to put our clothes.
