White House Tangalle

There is something very special about this beautiful place that makes you feel like "OMG I AM SO LUCKY AND GRATEFUL FOR THIS STAY". The villa itself is located in a very calm area and quiet area. Easy access to the town and the beach. The room we booked was spacious, cute, and comfortable than we have expected. The room is very clean. The garden and the pool are huge. Probably the largest pool I have ever seen in my life. The monkeys, peacocks, cats, squirrels really made my day. Hahaha. Monique is a wonderful host. She will guide you with any help you need. We had breakfast at the villa. It was so delicious with many options. Our whole stay was worth for the money. We will definitely come back and stay even longer. This place really felt like home. Wish you more success.

Top Unterkunft, zu Fuss bist Du in 5 Minuten am Strand, Stadtzentrum und Einkauf. Viele tolle Strände in nächster Umgebung, welche mit dem Tuktuk schnell erreicht werden können. Viele tolle Restaurants zum Essen in nächster Nähe. Der schöne Pool bei der Unterkunft lädt ebenfalls zum Verweilen und Chillen ein. Auch organisatorisch hat alles, inkl. den Transfers vom und zum Flughafen alles tiptop geklappt. Das nächste Mal ist bereits gebucht. Vielen Dank dem White House-Team für diesen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt.

Nichts

When we came to the property we were warmly welcomed by 2 Swiss ladies. We needed a moment to take in the grandeur of this colonial mansion; the main building is over 100 years old, kept in excellent condition, while 2 annexes are newly built. Walking through the immense garden to our room, I almost felt like a princess jumping straight out of a history book! After we put our luggage in the room (which was spotless clean and has everything from watercooker to fridge and even showergel&shampoo) we were invited for a welcome drink to the backside of the main building and again we were amazed; a beautiful roofed terrace designed for relaxation with fans and comfortable seats overlooking yet another part of the garden and an immense pool. I mean we saw the pictures online when booking but all this exceeded our expectations by far! Our plans to explore Tangalle got postponed till late afternoon hahaha. We walked to the beach and the fishing harbour, had a coffee and did some shopping, all on foot! This bustling city has a nice vibe but we were more than happy to get back to the peace and tranquility of the guesthouse. The breakfast was another highlight; we got served good coffee, fresh fruits, eggs, cheese, meatcuts,… lots of things we had been missing since arriving to Sri Lanka! I usually don’t write long reviews but this one… I just had to! We had a lovely time so Monique and Gabi thank you again for being wonderful hosts and sharing with us, we will definitely be back!
