In Constantia ist es nicht einfach, eine schöne Bleibe zu einem erschwinglichen Preis zu finden. Wir haben das Retreat aufgrund der räumlichen Nähe zu Freunden gebucht, zum Best Place Ever reicht es aber nicht. Die Lage nahe Constantia am Waldrand und Bergfuß ist natürlich toll, mit Auto oder Uber kommt man überall hin. Die Einrichtung ist schön gemacht und schlicht aber modern, hier wurde ein Bestandsgebäude aufbereitet und vom alten Charme etwas bewahrt.
Es verläuft ein Weg rund ums Haus, so dass die Zimmer einsehbar sind, wir hatten daher meist die Vorhänge zu. Eines der Zimmer war über einen Hintergang zu erreichen, zu dem auch Glastür und Badfenster lagen, das wirkte unangenehm abgelegen. Der Pool hatte am Anreisetag einen Grünstich, wir haben die Nutzung daher verworfen, auch wenn der Bereich schön gestaltet ist. Man hört auch die nahe Straße, wenn auch nicht laut.

The location, room and breakfast was beautiful.
The issue with the bath tap put a damper on things.
We couldn't reach anyone on the evening it happened, so my boyfriend had to switch the mains on and off whenever we needed water, as the bath tap wouldn't close - it left the water running.
