Scenically situated on the shores of Owasco Lake in Auburn, Moon Rise House gained its name from its incredible lakefront setting - especially during full moons. The panoramic view follows you from the living room to the kitchen down to the dock, even luring passersby to stop and admire the scene.
-- THE PROPERTY --
The house is located on the lake's western shore, right across the road from 48 feet of usable lake frontage. Owasco is a great lake for boating, tubing, fishing (for panfish, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and lake trout), and even ice fishing when the conditions are right. There's a dock (available seasonally from May to October, weather permitting) at the water's edge, where you can take out the provided kayaks or park a V-hull or pontoon boat rented through Owasco Marine. Just be sure to check with the owner that water levels can accommodate your craft.
No matter how you spend your time, this recently updated home makes a scenic and comfortable respite. Marvel at the view - rain or shine - as you barbecue on the covered 200-square-foot porch, indulge in afternoon naps in the hammock, and roast marshmallows nightly around the firepit. Rounding out the home essentials are a well-equipped kitchen, a cozy living room with a Smart TV, new Sealy mattresses in all of the bedrooms, a washer/dryer, and free WiFi.

Perfect vacation getaway! The house is spotless, comfy, and equipped with every thing you may need. Beds are plush and the rooms are so dark - it’s incredibly peaceful at night. The thunder porch is the perfect place to hang out and my friends loved the kayaks and paddle boards provided.

I would rent it again if we’re in the area.
We were in town for a wedding. An 11:00am check out would of been better
