Farissi's Zawya Surf House

Don’t come here expecting luxury, come expecting something better, a place that actually feels alive. Art, plants, and little details everywhere, someone clearly put real love and passion into every corner. The terrace, the quiet, the whole vibe carries this calm that’s honestly hard to find anymore. Sunset going down, tea in hand, BBQ smoke in the air I genuinely didn’t want to leave. Ahmed is a GOOD, HONEST, DETERMINED man who built this with real heart, and you feel that the moment you meet him. At $15 a night, it was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had thanks Ahmed for creating something this special.

As mentioned, this for me was an experience, and I honestly can’t find one thing to complain over.

Palacial premise with lush green roof terrace. Giant bedrooms and comfortable beds. It has a personal style very Un-Temu. No rules, hippy vibes - guaranteed to meet good people , a real cleanse from the Western world, a nostalgic reminder of how things used to be. Bonus: free washing machine. electricity supply on the roof. It is always a magic and real experience walking your way into town, that if you blink for a second you may miss it.

Het voelde er vrijwel onmiddellijk als thuis. De sfeer was er erg huiselijk. Ahmed vindt het duidelijk leuk om gasten over de vloer te krijgen en in gezeldschap te zijn. Het heeft geen hostel vibes, maar een woongemeenschap. Heerlijk!

Zoals alle woonplekken in opstart, heeft de plek nog wat kinderziektes. Ahmed is goed op weg om alles op te lossen!

De host is heel aardig, het was schoon toen we aankwamen, het is een heel mooi authentiek huis met historische kunst en voorwerpen. Je kan gebruik maken van de keuken en dakterras wat heel aangenaam is.

De andere gasten hadden iets beter achter zichzelf op mogen ruimen maar daar heb je als host helaas niet de controle over.
