The apartment is a good size, comfortable and well equipped. Beds are comfortable, as is the seating area. We were skiing, and it is well situated for a short walk to main chair lifts. It is also convenient for restaurants and shops. There is allocated underground parking for one car. The owner was helpful and pleasant, although responses to email communications via VRBO could be better. I phoned her with queries in the end. I would recommend it and if we return to Chinaillon we will stay there again.

Overall the apartment is very pleasant. It is well situated in the middle of the village, a short walk to the Spar and the Tourist Information Lift that takes you to the slopes. Even being in the centre of the village, it is quiet at night, this is really down to the resort being quiet rather than the apartment being well sound proofed. The apartment has a good sized lounge and dining room, a separate kitchen which is well stocked with cooking utensils. There is a large bedroom with modern en-suite, another good sized double bedroom, a small twin room and a rather tight bunk room. thersx also a sofa bed in the hallway. There’s a bathroom and separate toilet. We thought the apartment was good value for money, especially considering it’s location. Communication with the owner was a little lacking though, with no instructions given on how to access the apartment when we arrived, but this was sorted after a phone call.

We could not be happier with both the quality and location of this apartment. As a fairly large family group (8 people) cost is always an issue, so the good value of the apartment, the quality of accommodation and the close proximity to the ski slopes were all a great bonus. Late season skiing is always a bit risky and, before arrival, we were unsure of the snow conditions at such a low-altitude (1300m) resort. In the event, despite the variable weather, the snow conditions were surprisingly good. We were able to get to the slopes very quickly each day, thanks to the lifts which operate at both ends of the Chinaillon village and give a ten-minute level walk to the ski-lifts and could come home for lunch each day. The apartment itself had everything you could need (except perhaps for WiFi - but this is offered for free by most bars / restaurants anyway). Do not sign up to the Le Grand Bornand WiFi as the signal at Chinaillon is weak and the speed is hopeless (big waste of 15 Euros!). Overall, excellent, we would come again.
