A good value for money stay in the Alps

The location was great and the outside games for the children were a bonus. The property itself was clean and as seen in the photos as booked.

The TV was a bit of a challenge with regular screen freezing but possibly to be expected in the mountains. The properly was with regards to amenities pretty no frills. There was no salt/ pepper, kitchen roll and nothing in the bathroom. You need to take everything with you.

Well-maintained and comfortable

The location is very nice, on a mountainside with a view across to other mountains, and the apartment comes with a balcony. Everything in the apartment is well-maintained and well-designed. We spent a week there and it was comfortable the entire period. The internet worked well and the parking is immediately beside the apartment. The owners were responsive when we contacted them.

Check-in was a bit of a mess. We were told to pick up the keys from reception, but when we arrived at the pre-notified time no-one was there, and there was a message in French to call. So we did, which led to a 15 minute call (due to language misunderstandings) after which we found out that the apartment was actually in a different building. Which also meant it was not beside the play equipment in the picture, although there was also a swing set by the other building, and we welcome to walk down and use the other equipment (only a couple of minutes - but still not the same as being right outside the building, as in the picture). Then the code we were given for the lock box was wrong. It was all perfectly friendly, and everyone was trying to be helpful, but it was just the sort of thing that was avoidable with advance communication. Our only real other negative was that some of the pictures in the listing are actually of a shared area, which wasn't stated. Not necessarily a big deal, but that depends on the people you are sharing with, and we got unlucky with a family that decided just to spread out from their apartment, directly next to the shared area, and basically use the area as an extension of their apartment - leaving the door to their apartment open the whole time, and while not being directly rude certainly making clear they felt we were intruding. Which made using the area very uncomfortable, so we basically just avoided it. Not the owner's fault, of course, but the shared nature of those things should have been made clearer up-front, as shared areas are always a bit risky.

Pleasant owners, beautiful place in amazing nature, nice, modern apartment which has its own mountain spirit. We did not miss anything during the stay. The apartment is very well equipped. I also appreciate the large parking right next to the apartment as well as the terrace/balcony with the mountains view.

There is nothing I can complain about the accommodation or the place.

It was easy to collect the keys on arrival as the owner was at the residence. We arrived earlier and we could get the keys directly, which was a plus. We were allowed to take our small dog with us. The place was quiet (travel in June).

Très beau séjour automnal entre neige et soleil!

Super séjour familial au Chinaillon 😊 Nous avons apprécié la vue, l'emplacement, l'espace pour 5, l'équipement, le parking. L'appartement est proche des commerces et du centre du village. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et réactifs! Merci 🏔

Bonnes prestations dans un environnement très agréable

Emplacement très agréable avec grande terrasse face à la montagne, Cuisine très fonctionnelle. Grandes chambres et salles de bains. Et le village du Chinaillon, à taille humaine, calme en cette période (1ère quinzaine de septembre), point de départ soit de randonnées, soit de circuits en voiture pour découvrir les autres vallées des environs.

Petit bémol sur les oreillers (trop mous et pas à notre goût) et surtout le canapé du salon qui ne permet pas de se reposer confortablement après une journée de randonnée (l'assise n'est pas confortable). Autre point : l'appartement n'est accessible que par des escaliers (2 étages à descendre et à monter). Y penser si vous êtes à mobilité réduite.

Tolle Gegend für Wanderurlaub, Unterkunft ausbaufähig

Die Lage war sehr gut als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Man hört den Bach dauerhaft rauschen und nimmt daher Geräusche von der Straße nicht wirklich wahr, man kann gut mit offenem Fenster schlafen. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an der Passstraße hoch auf den Col de la Colombiere. Fussläufig sind gute Restaurants, ein super Bäcker und zwei Supermärkte zu erreichen - ein wirklicher Pluspunkt.

Das ganze Gebäude ist extrem hellhörig und laut- an ausschlafen war nicht zu denken, da morgens vor 7 Uhr im Appartement über uns Stühle gerückt wurden und es einfach insgesamt laut war. Man hört die Klospülung und Dusche anderer Appartements, Türen können nicht leise geschlossen werden (da alles klapprig ist) und das Treppenhaus ist auch sehr hellhörig. Wir hatten Appartement No. 4, das heißt das Appartement liegt genau in der Mitte, jeweils links und rechts befindet sich ein Appartement so wie darüber und ein Stockwerk tiefer - man hört sämtlichen Lärm und gefühlt jede Unterhaltung und jedes Hundegebell. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt sind die Möbel auf der Terrasse zu unbequem um sich zu entspannen. An sich ist alles sehr einfach und unserer Meinung nach in die Jahre gekommen- es klappert und klemmt, im Bad fehlen Fugen. Die Gegend ist super für Wanderfans, aber aus genannten Gründen kommt diese Unterkunft für uns nicht mehr in Frage.

Une nature très accueillante, une commune a fuire hors période.

Le propriétaire nous a accueilli. Les clefs étaient sur la porte de l'appartement. Appartement propret, équipement moyen. Pas de jaccusi, pas de piscine. Vue exceptionnelle sur les pistes et la montagne. Mais, ce qu'il faut retenir et les propriétaires n'y peuvent rien, c'est que la ville est morte hors période. Pas de commerces ouverts, pas de navette, pas de syndicat d'initiative ouvert, pas de cinéma ouvert, Chinaillon commune du grand Bornand est une ville sinistrée en période basse. Heureusement, la nature nous a offert son spectacle...

Emplacement idéal dans un quartier calme, sans vis-à-vis, En rez-de-jardin avec accès direct au champ et avec vue sur la montagne Chalet magnifique typiquement savoyard avec pierre et bois, très bien équipé et tout confort avec balnéo, sauna, pièce commune (grand écran, salon et babyfoot). grands espaces de vie ouverts sur la terrasse et très lumineux. Un séjour idéal, reposant et confortable. Nous sommes enchantés et recommandons vivement!

peu de service localement au hameau du Chinaillon hors saison (avril), seulement ue supérette. Mais commerces au grand bornand (à 1/4 h de route) qualitatifs.
