Novotel Tangerang BSD City

It’s new and only walking distance to Aeon Mall or ICE BSD, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants as well. It has also beautiful library and pretty swimming pool. The room is bigger than I expected.

New hotel nearby Aeon mall BSD, quite, not far from airport and popular places in Tangerang. I got upgraded room for 5 nights.

We checked 3 rooms in on a Sunday and stayed for 1 night. This friendly Guest Service Associate helped us check in. We were able to avoid the que and sit at the cafe counter with our welcome drinks while we check in and settle the room bill, which we were able to split and tap separately; very flexible and convenient. We had a strawberry milkshake which we thought was bland so we asked for honey on the side. The F&B Associate gave us a free milkshake that she made more sweet instead, which was a nice surprise. We also had the cheese cake which was unfortunately too hard compared to the smooth textured cheese cakes we are used to but the chocolate tart was delicious. Afterwards, we also had to pay at a separate counter and they didn’t know what we had. We had to tell them and wait until they found and logged the items on the computer. I’m not sure this is an efficient system for such a big hotel chain to use. The hotel was packed as it was Indonesia’s Independence Day the next day so the swimming pool was too crowded. The pool had the wow effect from the green ceiling lamp design and waterfalls but it would have been better if the pool was bigger/longer to accommodate a busy weekend. We did swim in there and ordered some snacks (fried cassava and friend bananas) which tasted also bland but the virgin Mojito was very refreshing. For dinner we opted for the Gebyar Dinner package consisting of live entertainments and unlimited buffet of various cuisines. The choice of food was out of this world! So many choices ranging from bbq of Wagyu beef, brisket, squid, shrimps, lamb skewers, beef Wellington, lamb curry, pasta, sushi, sashimi, and so much more! Fresh juices, ice cream, cakes, sweets; you name it, they have it. The hotel restaurant food tasted amazing compared to the cafe counter near the reception. The service was excellent, everyone was so friendly, fast, helpful and accommodating.
