The natural stone villa Bona Sort was built at the end of the 1990s by a German architect as a holiday home for him and his family. As the family loved the beach as much as playing golf, they chose this location because of its proximity to both. When designing the house, the owners also attached great importance to providing each resident with enough space to retreat for a few hours. As a result, the bedrooms are spacious and look like small suites with small terraces and direct access to the pool and the Mediterranean garden, which nestles up to the house and offers plenty of shady spots. The neighbouring small medieval towns of Artà and Capdepera (both 4 km) have retained their original medieval charm and thus stand out clearly from the newer, more interchangeable tourist resorts along the coast. Both towns have everything you need to stock up on groceries and other essentials, as well as numerous restaurants and food shops. Be sure to visit the Parc Natural northeast of Artà (10 km from the villa), one of Mallorca's largest nature reserves (1,500 ha), which combines the mountains of Llevant with secluded coves, beaches and steep cliffs on the coast. The area has become quite a popular and well-developed destination for hiking and climbing in recent years, but at the same time it is mostly quiet and deserted. The family-friendly Villa Bona Sort has been designed with great attention to detail and taste; it is a real treasure in the north-east of the island.
