Location for the city and attractions; proximity to the central station. Very secure. Had everything needed for a short stay.

It’s not a dislike, rather an observation. There’s a lot crammed into a small space, the bed is comfortable but topper mattress needs securing better. For me the window blind is not adequate to keep the midnight sun out.

No key, not even a card key needed. We used an app on the phone to get in. We quickly got used to this, and had no problems with it during our stay. Just make sure your phone is always charged, as you won’t be able to get in with a dead battery! The location was great - less than 5 minutes from the station, and if you come around the back by the river, you won’t need to negotiate steps. Although on the 4th floor, there is a lift which always came really quickly. There is a washing machine and washing powder (although we use our own unscented one) but no where to dry the washing, other than four coat hangers which when we arrived were in the same area as we would hang our coats. A little reorganisation provided a space away from the coats to dry shirts, but perhaps the hosts could consider a retractable drying line in the bathroom. these are not expensive, and are easy to fit. There is a microwave, but we had to find an extension cable to plug into the worktop to use it. Altogether, there are too many things! We put the sandwich toaster under the coffee table during our stay, and the dish drainer on top of the cupboard, since there was no where to put it next to the sink that didn’t risk melting it if the hob was still warm! There was a generous supply of tea towels, and 6 coffee capsules for the 2 days we were there (we’ve previously stayed places where we had just two between us for two days. All the other equipment needed for washing up and wiping down were also provided. There is hand wash and towels, but no shower gel or shampoo, so make sure to have your own. There is a small dining table and two chairs, plus a coffee table you can use as a bedside table on one side of the double bed. The other side is against the wall. Bed was comfy. Norwegians seem to like smaller pillows, but these were comfy provided you don’t roll too much in your sleep.
