Hobart Central Retreat

Amazing apartment, everything available for our use. Very clean and central to all the tourist spots. Host Tina was amazing and very helpful when we had an issue with the washing machine. She was quick to offer another available washing machine in the next unit. The apartment was blocked away from the noise of street cars, people, and the nightclub next door. We could not fault our accommodation during our time in Hobart.

What I liked: The space (large cupboards in both the bedroom and kitchen), the style (welcoming and comfortable), the layout (kitchen/lounge area plus two bedrooms), and the location were all excellent. I also discovered the Hanging Garden just next door, as well as the farmers’ market on Sunday morning up the road on Bathurst Street. The property is within walking distance of the Salamanca Market and the pier. The owner was also very responsive, even after hours.

What I disliked: There are no conventional windows, but a glass-brick wall which does not allow visibility through to the outside. There is one flight of stairs and no lift; however, as it is only a single flight, lifting the luggage was manageable.
