Villa Grand

Motorbike rental’s just about a 3‑minute walk from the villa, and it’s only around 7 minutes by bike to Mertasari Beach. Overall I really enjoyed the villa – when I arrived there were soft drinks in the fridge, and I could straight away make myself a coffee ’cause everything’s right there and the kitchen’s well set up. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the towels, and they fold them up nicely too. Loved the dead quiet almost as soon as it got dark – had a proper rest there.

I reckon the low price might look a bit dodgy – I haven’t seen a villa like this anywhere in Sanur. I’d definitely bump the rate up. Otherwise, I didn’t really see any negatives.

Mate, I wasn’t expecting a villa like this for that price. Love how open it feels and the breeze running through – makes it real comfy. The welcome drink’s a nice touch too, saves you from having to chase something to sip straight away, and there’s water in the barrel as well. The ladies would probably appreciate having a hair dryer in the bathroom, and the villa’s even set up with kids’ gear.

I reckon I’d go for a better gardener, mate – a few of the plants look like they’re missing a bit of TLC now and then. They’re not wilted or anything, but could definitely do with a trim.

The villa is new and beautiful, the locals living next door or in the same road are very friendly and make you feel safe. The staff from the milestone were informative and helpful throughout our stay.

The door locks need attention, perhaps CCTV at entrance would help make guests feel like their belongings are more secure as this is a standalone property not a resort with staff.
