Cozy house near train station, walking distance from old town and Bologna Exhibition Centre

Unfortunately booking.com didn’t send us the address of the property so we became lost. However we were able to contact the host and he came and found us and took us to the apartment. We were welcomed with fresh fruit, a bottle of Prosecco and all the makings for tea and coffee.

Dario is a great host and his Bologna apartment was perfect for needs. 10 mins from the central train station, Dario met us on arrival and even helped carry our luggage up the stairs. There are a couple of flights of stairs to reach the apartment which is stocked with plenty of extras to use during your stay like shampoo, shower gel, hand soap, coffee, spices, dishwasher and washing machine tablets, games and books. He was in contact with us before our stay to adapt the shopping list for breakfast items to our requirements and even bought us some local Prosecco and an easter egg to welcome us during our Easter stay. If you have any questions Dario replies to your messages very quickly. The apartment is a very generous size with two big bedrooms featuring two beds in each, a full kitchen and small lounge area in the back of the kitchen with a sofa bed if needed. The kitchen has enough facilities to make meals and there is a carrefour express 2 roads away to stock up on groceries to make a meal and eat on the balcony at the two person table. The apartment includes iron, travel ironing board, lots of wardrobe and desk space and a clothes drying rack if you pack light and want to wash clothes diring your stay. Dario even sends you some links to recommended tourist areas to visits and restaurants and there is a little under cover market 2 roads away with fruit and veg stalls and bakery items and a DJ and bars in the evening which we loved. We took day trips on the train to Verona, and Venice from here and booked a pasta making course in a real Italian ladies home and kitchen out in the suburbs. All in all a nice perfect stay thanks, we hope to be back someday.
