We're not vegan but the breakfast was beautiful. Fresh fruits, beautiful pastries and lunch and dinner was superb. You can choose to eat communally with everyone or sit where ever you like around the property if you prefer some privacy for your meal.

No mini fridge in the room to keep waters in, or medicine. The pillows weren't comfortable at all on the bed. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen 2-Nächte-Aufenthalt im Lost Lindenberg. Die Unterkunft ist architektonisch ein echtes Meisterwerk und die Lage sowie die Natur rundherum sind außergewöhnlich schön. Besonders der fast menschenleere Strand war ein Highlight und hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Der Service war grundsätzlich freundlich, wirkte jedoch häufig sehr verkaufsorientiert in der täglichen Interaktion. Zudem wirkte die Art der Kommunikation teilweise aufgesetzt, gekünstelt und wenig natürlich. Ein konkretes Beispiel: Über Booking war eine einstündige balinesische Massage pro Person inkludiert, diese war jedoch nur zu einem festen, sehr eingeschränkten Zeitpunkt verfügbar. Direkt nach der Massage wurden wir aktiv gefragt, ob wir weitere Massagen buchen möchten – hier standen plötzlich deutlich mehr flexible Zeitfenster zur Verfügung. Das hat sich aus Service-Sicht eher widersprüchlich und wenig kundenorientiert angefühlt. Das vegane Essen ist ein interessantes Konzept, geschmacklich und kreativ hat es für uns jedoch nicht ganz zum besonderen Anspruch der Unterkunft gepasst. Kritisch empfanden wir zudem die Essenssituation: Ohne Teilnahme am Community-Dinner gab es nur sehr eingeschränkte Sitzmöglichkeiten (niedrige Tische und Stühle), was für den Preis nicht passend wirkte und wenig Wahlfreiheit bot.

Lost is a beautiful and unique place to stay. My friend and I were quite happy to travel that extra distance northwards on Bali's west coast to avoid the busier and more developed areas. On arriving at Lost, the intention behind the design of the entrance is clear: inviting guests to leave the stresses of day-to-day life behind, slow down, and simply be in awe of this beautifully designed, verdant oasis. The architecture and decor are central features in their own right, decadent and luxurious without being excessive, and reflective of the environmentally-conscious ethos of the place. The staff are highly attentive, friendly and efficient. Importantly, Lost employs locals for internal staff and external (guides, surf instructors), so that people who had previously needed to commute 3-4 hours to work are now working in the same locality as their homes and families. There is a lovely balance between encouraging communal interactions between guests (dinners, beach bonfires), and providing ample opportunities to find your own private space.
