We received the warmest welcome from the house owner, Suri. The moment we entered the compound, we immediately thought, “This is exactly what we needed!” We were so glad we chose this place. The ambiance was perfect for a peaceful getaway, and the beach was just about 20 steps away. We had a lovely stay and especially enjoyed the refreshing coconut water provided. While you’ll need to drive out for meals, it’s not far at all—within 10 to 15 minutes, you’ll find plenty of restaurants and Instagram-worthy cafés. Not to forget, we meet Alice a lovely adorable bulus 😊

The stay was very peaceful, near to the beach that is allowed to swim in which is very convenient for those who are not visiting islands. It felt very homey as we stayed in the cottage along with all the amenities provided. I like the fact that the bathroom is spacious and had washing machine with drying rack — easy for us to sort our clothes used for swimming! The property is well maintained, with flowers blooming healthily and there's cats! They're friendly and well behaved. The host, Kak Suri is very accommodating, friendly and easy to approach. Overall, I am very much satisfied with my stay ♥️

The location is quite secluded from the city so the journey back if at night is very dark with no streetlight available on the way back but the property is well lit.

I honestly can't recommend this place enough. If you're after somewhere peaceful, surrounded by nature, and run by the kindest people, you've found it. The property is tucked away among frangipani and coconut trees and feels like a little hidden garden. I spent ages just watching the squirrels, spotting different birds, and noticing all the little lizards going about their day, it's paradise for nature lovers :) And you'll never be alone; two adorable cats patrol the grounds like tiny, furry guardians, which just adds to the homely feel. The room was spotless. Genuinely, one of the cleanest places I stayed in the whole of Malaysia, with everything I needed for a really comfortable stay. It felt less like a rental and more like a home away from home. The beach is literally a one-minute walk from your door. In the evenings, I'd just sit in the garden, listen to the waves, and watch the sunset, pure magic. And a little tip: the jetty for day trips to Redang and Lang Tengah is only 10 minutes away, so it's the perfect base for island-hopping without the fuss. But what really made my stay special was Suri. She and her mum live on-site in a villa just down the path, and she's honestly the warmest, most generous host you could hope for. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she made me feel completely at home from the moment I arrived. I left feeling rested, grateful, and already planning how to get back. Don't overthink it, just book, you'll thank me ;)

I didn't like that my time at Summerland had to come to an end eventually. I will most definitely be coming back !
