Villa 505 Induruwa

Udheni and Tushara are amazing hosts. They made us, me and my 2 boys aged 17 and 11 at the time of our stay, feel like very special guests in their home. This was our 3rd guesthouse booking in Sri Lanka and it was by far the most comfortable and pleasant stay we had. The rooms are clean and spacious. Same for the bath/toilet room. You have the entire 1st floor at your disposal and it has its own balcony and terrace. From the balcony, you can see the surroundings full of trees. It was like heaven in the evening with the monkeys visiible from a distance. The water in the house is drinkable. The breakfast is generous, so is the diner. Udheni cooking is amazing. We had fried rice, fresh rotti. All sort of curry and Sri Lankan omelette. She accomodated my younger boy taste. And when we found out how big the portions were. We decided to have diner at her place every night !!! If you fancy keeping a little stash of food with you for tea or to take to the beach there is even a corner shop at 2' walking distance. They were so kind that on our first day Tushara drove us to the beach. I am not suggesting that you shall expect the same treatment. But it shows what kind of hosts they are. Last but not least, if you want to be dropped to Bentota, Tushara's brother who lives next door could drop you with his tuk tuk for a reasonable fee. I think that is pretty clear that we loved our stay.

The first time we went to the villa, our driver struggled to find it. But if you call beforehand and ask the driver to speak to Udheni. That should sort it out.

Had two spacious and clean rooms and a nice and clean bathroom that was new. Also, the hosts were super friendly and treated me like a family member. They even picked me up from the train station and didn’t want money for that. The mom (and sister) cooked me two delicious dinners, cut fresh fruits and helped me with my laundry. Their little daughter was just adorable and fun to play with and shared her treats with me.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming! The room we booked was spacious and clean. Bed was confortable and the bathroom had a good shower and was clean. The host helped us cook in the morning and we also saw monekys right outside of our balcony. We can definitely recommend this place!

Wonderful hospitality. We were welcomed by a family with a child, we also came with two children (preschoolers) so they had company. Neat, clean house, two rooms upstairs with a toilet. A hearty breakfast where you can choose between European and local breakfast. There is a cinnamon field in front of the house so the aroma of cinnamon is present all the time. Their parents who live next door were happy to show us the whole process of extracting cinnamon spice, and getting coconut milk. They also offered us dinner. Super filtered water from their well. They washed our clothes in the washing machine twice. In the morning you wake up to squirrels, birds chirping and monkeys climbing trees in the distance. For every recommendation. Too little money for such a rich experience. A few minutes drive to the beach. Perfect for anyone who wants to experience authentic Sri Lanka.
