Close to the beach

I liked the area it was in, close to beach access and also had a pool. It was also in walking distance of the plaza for shopping and dining.
Well, when I first arrived I was given the incorrect access code to the gate. So it made me feel skeptical but was able to get the correct access code shortly after. During our stay, a realtor walked into our rental and realized we were inside and proceeded to knock after and was confused that we were staying there for the weekend? Not sure if there was some miscommunication on that. However, it made us feel a little uncomfortable after. There were also water bugs inside the unit.
