Kamida179

Our family (2 adults 2 kids 9 and 12 year old visiting Kyushu from France) stayed 3 nights at Kamida 179, a lovely full house with all commodities. The house is a 130 year old Japanese traditional house, an extraordinary experience with tatamies and wooden structures. But it has comfortable beds, sofa, both modern and traditional diner table and all necessary modern comfort one can need, from the hair curling heater to the washing machine we used. Huge place too with a beautiful Japanese garden surrounded of rice fields and local farms. Naomi the gran gran daughter of the house builder is a fantastic host and lives in the village being very responsive when needed. She was a guide and could advise us local trips. The house is located in Oguni, an ideal place to visit the Aso mountain and caldera (1 full day) and the mythical Kurokawa Onsen valley (1 day) and Takachiho gorge and shrine (1day). Ideal to see central Kyushu and enjoy one fantastic onsen each day.
