Casa do Avô

De slaapkamers en bedden waren prima, de hostess kwam ons een extra Airco brengen wat heel fijn en wel nodig was. Er is een ruime keuken waar wij zelf geen gebruik van hebben gemaakt en het ligt relatief dichtbij de airport. De hostess is heel vriendelijk en voldoet graag aan je wensen.

De buurt vonden wij niet veilig, ik ging er niet graag alleen wandelen. Het ligt ver uit de toeristische route, er zijn geen restaurants of iets dergelijk, het is meer een oude buitenwijk en het kost behoorlijk wat tijd om in het centrum te komen. De ruimte is liefdevol maar klein, in onze ogen niet echt geschikt om langer dan 1 nacht te verblijven. Prima als je alleen een overnachting zoekt tussen 2 vluchten door maar niet voor ontspanning of een langer verblijf in Lissabon.

Parking in the area overnight is free, but actually finding a spot is tricky

This apartment is located in a residential area near the airport. We stayed here for one night before our flight home to the US. Rita and her mom met us at the entrance to hand over the keys and provide instructions. Rita was very easy to communicate with via WhatsApp, providing parking instructions and in communication as we drove up that afternoon from the Algarve. The apartment was perfect! Spotless and clean. I could have stood at the Juliet balcony in the bedroom and watched the world take place below me all evening. Coming from the US, this is exactly what I was hoping to experience, observing how locals live and getting insight into daily life. I wish we would of had more time to enjoy the apartment and explore the area. Stay here for the kind hosts, great location and comfortable accommodations!

Everything was great!

We picked this property because we needed accommodations for 3 people in 2 bedrooms and we wanted to be near the airport to catch an early morning flight. The accommodations were comfortable and we were only a 10 taxi ride from the airport. The family who run this property were very friendly and provided us with suggestions of places to eat nearby and in the city center. If we had stayed longer we would have taken advantage of the kitchen and living room.

We did not explore the neighborhood but decided to spend our one in the city center.
