We have been visiting DR since 2001 (9th time!) but this was our first time renting a VRBO there. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind without all the crowds of an all inclusive, this is your place. DIRECTLY on the beach, beautifully appointed, spectacular decks (4), two pools and genuine palapas on the beach were just what we needed. After viewing entire property we think this unit is by far the best location in the complex. We did take advantage of the airport transfers and golf cart (additional fee) and both were absolutely worth it. Note the golf cart is pretty much required to drive to restaurants at the marina (and anywhere else you want to see); so absolutely rent one unless you rent a car. While there was little to no sargassum, the beach was cleaned daily; nice to have in the event it's bad. NOTE: We only stayed for 3 days (prior to moving to an all inclusive), but the so called "grocery stores" in golf cart distance have slightly less selection than a 7-11 lol. If you are staying longer I would take advantage of their offer to have your food stocked and waiting for you should you actually want to do any cooking/meals in the unit. The host was super responsive all the way from booking through vacation. In short, we would absolutely rent this place again in the future; it was awesome!
