Welcome to Carlyn's Brookside Bungalow. This adorable newly constructed home is perfect for your getaway to historic Waynesville. Waynesville is a quaint mountain town with year-round adventure. This bungalow is within walking distance of coffee, restaurants, and shops in Hazelwood Village as well as 1.5 miles from downtown. 30 minutes from Asheville, 10 minutes to Maggie Valley's skiing and tubing resorts, 30 minutes to Western Carolina University, and 10 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The property was fairly new, as, we were the second tenants according to the owners. The property upon check in was not properly cleaned. It was clear the floors had not been vacuumed and the bathrooms had not been cleaned. Once we contacted the the owners, they refunded a portion of the rental cost. They informed us of the change in cleaning crew could have been the reason for the uncleanliness. The neighborhood that the house was located did not appear the best at first glance. However the location was quiet and rather nice. The house was stocked with everything needed for our stay. All sheets, towels, and even shampoo and body wash was supplied. There was also a supply of tea, coffee, and snacks for tour consumption. It was close to everything. Overall it was an excellent stay. The only reason for four stars was the cleaning issue. Would stay again.
