We loved our little houseboat in Ponta Delgado. We were very fortunate that Sandra took good care of us. We arrived very early in the day and she let us sit in her office (where we nodded off after a long sleepless flight) and then allowed us to check in several hours early. We had unknowingly booked the smallest room with a single bed (that pulls out to a double) and a pull out bed. It was very nice but we wanted a slightly bigger space. Sandra took us to see two other units we could choose from for only a small additional fee per night. Breakfast was included and delicious. Again, Sandra took care of us. We had an early tour our first morning and an early flight the second morning so she brought our breakfast the night before.
We stayed here in February and the price was very reasonable. I found out that summer prices are much higher. I’m so glad we had this amazing experience. You fall asleep to the ocean gently rocking you. The marina and breakwater prevent the huge waves outside the enclosure from reaching the houseboat.
