This is an older property that’s been given a makeover, mostly well done but still with some issues to be resolved. Its’ biggest plus point is the great location right near the town centre and beach, close to cliff walks, beach, shops and restaurants. The second big plus is the spacious living room with small balcony all with a view of the sea and the large bedroom downstairs with another, larger balcony. Both balconies have outdoor furniture. The whole place is nicely furnished with good furniture, bedding and towels although a coffee table wouldn’t go amiss. The kitchen area is fairly small but well equipped with plenty of cookware, good crockery and glassware for drinks on the balcony. The fridge is under the counter but has an internal freezer compartment with an ice cube tray supplied. The bathroom is also small but there is good hot water, water pressure and towels.
We had an issue on arrival which was dealt with immediately which was great. There was also a nice welcome pack with tea, coffee, red wine & water. No milk, so bring that if you need it. Overall, one of us enjoyed this apartment a lot despite the many small issues, the other not at all.
There are inaccuracies and gaps in the current listing. There is no onsite parking, it is free public street parking outside. Fine in winter, probably impossible in high-season. There is no washing machine or air conditioning as currently listed and the property is terraced, joined left, right and above, not semi-detached as listed. There is a wooden spiral staircase from the upper to the lower floor which could be difficult for those with mobility issues as the bedroom and bathroom are both downstairs. That’s in addition to the many steps down from road level to reach the apartment door. The kitchen needs a few small maintenance issues attended to. The bathroom has poorly designed shower screening where you need to squeeze past the toilet to get into the shower.
