Riad Sumud

Riad Sumud is a true hidden gem in the heart of the Medina. With only 5 rooms, it feels incredibly intimate, almost like staying at a friend's beautiful home, and the service is wonderfully personalized. The staff are amazing: kind, warm, attentive and always ready to help with anything we needed, from recommendations to directions to making sure we felt completely at home. Every single person working there was fantastic, but a very special thank you to Soulaimane, who went above and beyond and made our stay truly unforgettable. The riad itself is gorgeous, with a stunning courtyard and authentic Moroccan charm in every detail. It's a peaceful oasis just steps away from the energy of the Medina, and the perfect place to rest after exploring the city. We felt cared for from the moment we arrived until the moment we left.

Honestly, nothing at all. Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer!

The Breakfast was great especially as I am a vegetarian with dietary needs of gluten free and dairy free with certain fruit and vegetables I cannot eat.... The Staff paid special attention to my needs - cooking me gluten free/dairy free cake and bread for breakfast. We also had 4 meals in the evening over the week and all were specially made with ingredients that suited me. I had no problem with anything I ate and give the staff 10 out of 10 for there effort and wonderful meals such at vegetable tagine, Lentil tagine and vegetable samosas. The Riad is located in the center of the old town and you get all the atmosphere of the souk and how Marrakech has been for years. Salim and Mustapha made sure your every need was catered for they booked our airport transfers and our balloon flight at sunrise which was fantastic. All the staff were extremely friendly.

Nothing our trip was just what we wanted to experience .

The property was tastefully furnished and the en-suite bathroom was clean and had a powerful shower with plenty of hot water.

The stairs to the rooms upstairs would have benefited from a hand rail or banisters. A chair in the room would have been useful rather than a floor cushion for those who would have an issue for sitting on the floor.
