Wanaka Studio close to town with private ensuite

Great off street parking. Easy walking distance to town and a fantastic view with a lovely deck. Carmen and Darryl were delightful. One review had stated the room was small. While I agree with this, I have to say the storage for clothing was totally adequate, so I emptied my bags and put them out of the way back in my car. So many positive things far outweighed this small negative. It was winter and the room warmed up quickly. In Summer the deck outside would be fabulous.

A reasonable walk into town

Compact, but fully formed. Warm, close to town, lovely quiet outlook towards the lake, modern and nicely kitted out. A very nice stay.

A couple of points for improvements - the hand soap had run out and it would have been nice to have a hair dryer there. But small things in a very nice, comfy stay with great positives. Will come again.

I didn’t have a car in Wanaka and for a solo traveler with a suitcase it wasn’t as convenient as I had hoped. The studio room a 20 minute walk from the shops and the lake. I was in Wanaka to attend a concert. I wasn’t expecting a hill and stairs. The studio was a bedroom with ensuite in a private home which is still being renovated. Access is via a screen door. The lock on the door and keys needed a bit of jiggling around to open and lock. There was no fridge or air con. A couple of other spaces in and around the house were also short stay accom. It would have been good of the owner has made easier to identify signs for each accom space on their property.
