Relaxing Rural Retreat - Stargaze or Soak Up the Sun

This was our favorite stay during our entire New Zealand trip. Toni and Daz are phenomenal hosts and Turbo and Zadie the dogs made us never want to leave - so much so that we ended up booking 2 extra nights! We came during the off-season so we were lucky enough that the room was available. The location is great - 10ish minutes outside of "downtown" Wanaka, but even closer to many attractions like the Lavender Farm and National Toy & Transport Museum. Staying here felt like staying with family friends but with more privacy. Toni and Daz have such great energy and we felt comfortable around them immediately. I'm someone who can feel a little awkward to stay in someone else's home when they're still there, but not here whatsoever! There was a great balance of getting to spend a little time with our hosts if we wanted to (namely when using the kitchen), but feeling zero obligation and like we still had total privacy in our own little guest wing. We especially loved the walk-in closet that enabled us to unpack and feel grounded for 4 days, rather than transient and living out of our suitcase like in other places. Everything was clean, classy, and organized. We hope to stay again one day and miss it already (especially the dogs).

The location was great for exploring Wanaka, Toni was amazing host and the room was super clean and homely. Would totally recommend to future guests. Toni’s dogs were super fun to be around!

Magnifique chambre dans une propriété charmante. La chambre comprend un grand dressing, une salle de bain avec une grande douche et une partie nuit avec un lit très confortable. On peut accéder facilement à la cuisine et une étagère dans le frigo nous ai réservé.
