Location and view excellent. A lot of space, great pool. Perfect location for Chaweng and Lamai as well as touring other parts of the island. Very helpful and responsive host. Despite some very small and minor issues, this is a perfect choice for Samui, if you get a good price. The view is unbeatable.

The villa has some strange design with an open hallway on the upper floor, so there are a lot of doors which your have to constantly open and close to save energy with the aircon and keep mosquitoes out. Not sure why it was done like this, an enclosed normal hallway maybe with a window would have been much better. The open bathroom concept in the master bedroom is putting design over function. You can enjoy the view while showering but there is no mirror over the washbasin. And who wants a free-standing bathtub in the middle of the bedroom? Shower doesn’t hold the temperature steadily and when you shower the adjacent toilet gets wet. We stayed in the red bedroom instead which had a very comfortable bed and much more sensible design. Unfortunately there were issues with closing the bathroom doors in that room and on the ground floor and some minor other items which just made you wonder if either the original construction was inferior quality or if there’s been a lack of upkeep/maintenance. Electricity is charged separately, which is very unusual by European standards but apparently common in Samui, although there are plenty of properties which have it included somehow in the final price, which I prefer. For the damage deposit and electricity you have to bring 10.000 THB in cash. When checking out the number of cups and glasses are carefully scrutinized. There are many villas close to each other and if you are unlucky with your neighbours, you may get some noise from your neighbours (music, children, loud phone/video calls)
