About this house rental
Summary:
Ideally located a half mile from hip Kittery Foreside and less than a mile from bustling downtown Portsmouth, NH. A great location for walking, biking and enjoying all that the seacoast has to offer. Come enjoy Maine and New Hampshire with your family and friends!
We welcome guests of all races, faiths, genders, and sexual orientations.
The Space:
Our home sleeps 4 people. Perfect for a family or a small group of friends. Our house is set on a half acre plot of land right in downtown Kittery.
There is plenty of parking in the driveway and a sunny side porch, or multiple shade trees in the hot summer heat. It also has an outside dining table and 4 chairs nestled in the garden.
We will consider well behaved pets.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire house (first and second floor), as well as the driveway and half acre of land.
The basement will be left closed during the guest's stay.
The Neighborhood:
This location couldn't be better with all your conveniences just minutes away.
Just 5 minutes walk from the house you'll find Kittery's local Butcher, Vegetable Market, Wine, Beer, Loco Coco's Tacos Restaurant, Yoga, Beach Pea Bakery, and more.
10 minutes walk (a half mile) will get you to all the restaurants and shops of downtown Kittery Foreside.
15 minutes walk to Prescott Park, Strawberry Banke, and downtown Market Square in historic Portsmouth, NH.
A short 5 minute drive to Kittery Trading Post and brand name outlets for all the shopping you can enjoy!
Drive along the Piscataqua River for history and hiking at scenic Fort Foster and Fort McClary.
Quick access to I-95 to explore the rest of Maine and New Hampshire's seacoast. 15 minutes to York, 20 minutes to Ogunquit, 45 minutes to Portland and 1 hour to Boston.
Getting Around:
Leave your car at home and enjoy all that Kittery and Portsmouth have to offer.
Other Things to Note:
The house has window air conditioners in each bedroom and one in the living room. (during the summer season) It will keep the house cool in the event of very hot weather, but it is not central AC.
We do have a Smart TV at the house and provide a Netflix account for your use. (Please note network tv channels are not available)
TRAFFIC NOISE - The roads around our property can be busy at certain times of the day. Traffic is impacted by the Navy shipyard schedule and the local drawbridges. If inconsistent traffic noise will impact your stay, this may not be the best fit for your group.

POWER OUTAGES - The beautiful rugged coastline of Maine can also come with some adventure. As with many Maine homes, power outages may occur, especially during strong storms. We provide emergency supplies like flashlights, a first aid kit, emergency snow shovels, and bottled water to ensure your comfort. We are also quick to recommend local community buildings, cafes and restaurants in town that have power, if we do not. These outages can last a few hours or longer, depending on the cause. We do not offer weather related refunds outside of our cancellation policy so you may consider purchasing trip cancellation insurance for your travels in case you do need to cancel last minute. That being said, we do our best to be reasonable in extended power outages.
Interaction with Guests:
We live just around the corner and are always available if guests need support. Otherwise we give guests space to enjoy their visit!
