About this villa rental
Despite its tranquil location, you’re only around a five-minute drive from the bustling fishing village of Anstruther, with its 9-hole golf course, wildlife boat trips out to the Isle of May (home to one of the UK’s largest puffin colonies) and a great mix of places to eat – from award-winning fish and chips to tapas at The Cellar. St Andrews, the world-renowned Home of Golf, is about nine miles away, and Dundee with the V&A museum is within easy reach for a day out.
Inside, the ground floor is all about light, space and easy sociable living. An impressive open-plan living area with floor-to-ceiling glazing makes the most of the countryside views, while a separate snug with TV, triple-aspect windows, French doors and a wood-burning stove offers a cosy retreat on cooler days. The sleek kitchen/dining area, also open plan, is fitted with high-spec units and all the modern conveniences you’d expect, with a large dining table seating ten and French doors leading straight out into the garden for effortless indoor–outdoor living. A handy utility room houses laundry facilities and gives additional access to the garden.
Sleeping arrangements are ideal for mixed groups. On the ground floor there are two en-suite bedrooms: one twin with a large walk-in shower, and one super king with French doors opening to the garden and countryside beyond. Upstairs, a family bathroom on the half-landing serves three further bedrooms: two twin rooms with built-in wardrobes, dressing tables and rural views, and a show-stopping master bedroom with super king bed and floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, offering jaw-dropping panoramic views towards Anstruther.
Outside, generous garden grounds wrap around the farmhouse, providing ample space for barbecues, games and relaxed evenings in the fresh Fife air, along with plenty of private parking. Please note that the garden is not enclosed, so guests with toddlers or pets will need to take extra care.
A luxurious, spacious East Neuk farmhouse with unforgettable views, perfectly placed for coastal walks, wildlife watching, days on the beach and some of Fife’s best-loved golf courses, from Anstruther’s 9-hole to the legendary links of St Andrews.
